Forest-Inspired Serenity: A Natural Retreat in a Compact Home
Located in NOVO LAND Phase 2B in Tuen Mun, this 415 sq ft two-bedroom apartment adopts an “Airy Forest” concept to bring a breath of nature into compact urban living. The interior features layered green tones paired with warm wood finishes, creating the sensation of being surrounded by forest calm. Natural elements are subtly woven throughout. Despite the modest size, the home evokes a sense of openness and retreat, transforming daily living into a quiet escape immersed in nature.
Consistency with Variation: Tall Cabinet Continuity and Forest-Toned Wall Art
Unlike previous interior designs where the area beside the kitchen featured low cabinets and woodgrain flooring, this project adopts a more integrated approach. A tall cabinet unit replaces the lower cabinetry and seamlessly extends the existing storage line from the entryway. This creates a continuous storage narrative and strengthens visual unity from the moment one steps inside.
On the side facing the sofa, an additional cabinet is placed beside the open kitchen to subtly separate the living and kitchen zones. This prevents the two areas from feeling overly compressed and clearly defines each functional space. The added unit acts both as a practical divider and a visual buffer.

To tie the interior designs back to the “forest air” theme, the wall beside the kitchen features a green-toned wall art with layered texture. More than just a splash of color, it evokes the depth and fluidity of nature, striking a balance between contemporary design and the serenity of the forest.
Layered Study Design: Warm Woodgrain Meets Fresh White and Green
The study features a layered design where the lower half emphasizes warm woodgrain elements, including flooring and cabinet surfaces, creating a cozy, natural base. A band of green divides the space horizontally, providing a visual break and enhancing depth. The upper half is predominantly white, bringing brightness and openness to the room. inT Design's designer adds semi-circular strip details on the back panel, echoing the theme of rounded elements in the space. Opposite the panel, a plant-themed mural with delicate line work enriches the natural ambiance and refined texture of the room.
