A Subtle Pulse Between Stillness and Motion
Located in GRAND MARINI, Lohas Park, Tseung Kwan O, this 785-sqft three-bedroom flat is designed around the concept of a quiet yet lingering pulse. The homeowner sought a home that would evoke a sense of emotional stir—subtle, enduring, and deeply felt. inT Design's designer responded with a modern minimalist approach layered with thoughtful contrasts in color, texture, and lighting. Warm wood tones and muted hues define the living and dining areas, accentuated by refined metal trims and light-reflecting finishes. This combination creates an elegant atmosphere with a quietly resonant energy. Every detail—from material selection to spatial rhythm—captures the essence of movement and stillness, crafting a home that gently stirs the heart over time.
Smart Material Choices to Prevent Discoloration
Excessive use of white furniture can lead to visible discoloration over time. To address this, the designer opted for colored finishes on both the built-in furniture and wall panels, effectively reducing the risk of uneven aging. This interior design enhances both practicality and durability, while adding a warm, layered tone to the space that complements the home's overall refined aesthetic.

Subtle Textures Bring Personality with Understated Elegance
To fulfill the client’s desire for detail and individuality, the designer subtly added textured groove patterns to the furniture back panels. This understated treatment brings a touch of vibrancy beyond standard flat wood finishes. Behind the sofa, a sound wave-inspired artwork further elevates the ambiance with a timeless and refined style, perfectly resonating with the space’s quiet sophistication.
Flexible Platform Design for Future Growth
Since the child is still young and currently shares the room with the parents, the designer opted for a raised platform layout. This not only enhances storage space but also allows for an easy future transition when the child needs an independent bed. The headboard wall features a playful animal-themed mural, adding a lively and cheerful touch that grows with the child.
Extending Living Room Aesthetics with Distinctive Wall Art
The interior design of first bedroom and the master bedroom carry forward the minimalist aesthetic of the living room, using similar materials and tones to maintain a cohesive feel. To define the character of each space, the designer introduced distinctive wall art: the first bedroom features a striking face illustration as a visual highlight, adding an artistic flair, while the master bedroom incorporates a patterned mural to create a calm and elegant atmosphere for rest.
