The interior adopts a clean and contemporary American style, centered around a modern grey palette that inT Design enhances the clarity and openness of the space. Dark wood finishes on selected furniture pieces add warmth and depth, creating a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere. Layered Wall Textures with Material Contrast
The design introduces a refined blend of textures to enrich the visual depth of the home. From the entrance to the back of the sofa, grey linen-textured wallpaper offers a soft, tactile backdrop. In contrast, the opposite wall—from the dining area to behind the TV—is treated with artistic paint, creating a subtle yet striking juxtaposition that enhances the presence of the floating marble TV feature wall. To break the uniformity of the grey palette, the designer thoughtfully incorporates deeper-toned wood veneers and metal accents across selected wall surfaces, furniture, ceiling lights, and marble edging. Layered Ceiling Design as a Visual Highlight
A key feature in this design is the ribbed ceiling above the sofa area. This distinctive structure introduces a rhythmic, architectural dimension to the living space, drawing the eye upward and enhancing spatial depth. Complementing this feature, louvered blinds are used beneath the ceiling to echo its linear pattern. Together, they create a play of light and shadow throughout the day, adding visual movement and reinforcing the ceiling as a focal point in the room.
Smart Layout Maximizes the Children's Room
Behind the sofa lies the children's room, which features a unique L-shaped corner window that brings in ample natural light. To make the most of the space, the designer introduced a semi-loft bed, cleverly utilizing vertical space by separating the room into upper and lower zones. The upper level serves as a cozy sleeping area, while the lower section offers flexible space for storage or study. This thoughtful interior design layout not only ensures an open play area but also provides practical functionality, creating a cheerful and versatile environment for the child to grow in.
Refined Corridor Layout with Seamless Transitions
The original corridor layout featured partition walls and doorways on both sides, which made the area feel narrow and difficult to organize. To optimize the space, the designer shifted the master bedroom door forward, enlarging the bedroom and streamlining the corridor. Rounded corners and concealed doors were introduced along the corridor walls to create a seamless and unified visual flow. These thoughtful adjustments soften harsh lines and minimize visual breaks, transforming the hallway into a graceful transition space that connects different areas with elegance and ease.
Translucent Details Extend the Design Language
The original study entrance was replaced with a pair of black-framed glass double doors, adding both aesthetic value and transparency to the interior design. This upgrade not only enhances visual appeal but also allows light to pass through, maintaining an open connection with the adjacent spaces even when the doors are closed. Inside the study, the same design language continues—black pendant lighting and matching dark accents echo the door detail, creating a cohesive and modern atmosphere that balances functionality with style.
Maximizing Vertical Space in the Master Suite
With its generous ceiling height, the master suite is elevated with a platform design that conceals ample storage beneath, keeping the space tidy and streamlined. Above, a three-sided-access double bed is paired with a minimalist wardrobe and a transparent glass display shelf, highlighting the interior design theme with subtle sophistication. The layout balances practicality with openness, creating a calm and personalized retreat that reflects both comfort and thoughtful detailing.
