Modern Minimalism Accentuated by Original Fixtures
Located in The Henley II at Kai Tak, this 888-square-foot three-bedroom flat embraces a modern minimalist design. The original built-in furniture and appliances provide a strong foundation, setting the tone for the overall aesthetic. Building upon these existing features, inT Design's designer enhanced spatial details through thoughtful use of color, materials, and layered composition—bringing out texture and personality within a clean, understated framework.
Light Wood Tones for a Bright and Soft Ambience
The unit features an open kitchen equipped with cabinetry and built-in appliances, allowing the designer to focus on the layout and ambience of the living and dining areas. As the original built-in furniture from the developer leans toward darker tones, the designer chose to contrast this with lighter hues, using matching light-toned wood textures to create a more airy and luminous feel. A curved feature wall further enhances this softness, tying in with the existing circular ceiling light trough while gently shaping the overall spatial flow.
Scandinavian Calm with a Child-Friendly Twist
Beyond the hidden door lies the first guest room, now transformed into a child’s bedroom. Since the child prefers a calmer setting over bright, colorful interior design themes, the space adopts a Scandinavian earth-tone palette, with light wood furniture to enhance warmth and comfort. In front of the desk, a magnetic whiteboard wall has been installed—perfect for both educational purposes and creative expression, allowing the child to personalize the space with ease.

Curved Window as a Focal Point for Spatial Flow
The master bedroom features a distinctive floor-to-ceiling curved glass window. To make the most of this architectural highlight, the designer repositioned the bedroom door, enhancing the openness and brightness of the space. The adjacent guest room was reimagined as a semi-open study, allowing natural light to flow through and connect both areas. The master bedroom also includes a walk-in closet, offering ample storage. By shifting the doorway, the layout becomes more efficient, with clearly defined zones and an improved sense of spaciousness.
A Shared Study Framed in Deep, Calm Tones
The study is thoughtfully designed for functionality and comfort. One wall is fitted with a full-height bookshelf, while the opposite side interior design features a wide desk that preserves the view through the curved window. This spacious layout allows both homeowners to use the area simultaneously. As the room is mainly used for work, the designer opted for deeper tones to foster a calm, focused atmosphere. These tones also complement the original dark-toned built-in wardrobe in the adjacent walk-in closet, maintaining a cohesive overall aesthetic.
Curved Wood Paneling for a Serene Sleeping Nook
The master bedroom offers ample space for a larger double bed, with enough room for an armchair to create a cozy corner for relaxation. Behind the bed, a rounded wood-paneled feature wall is accented with black metal trim and soft ambient lighting. This detail adds depth to the design while echoing the tone and materials of the developer’s original built-in furniture, resulting in a cohesive and well-balanced interior.
