Located in the prestigious school network of Kowloon Tong, this 1,033-square-foot unit at Hanlin Court features four bedrooms and two living areas. Framed by sweeping views of the urban skyline, the apartment showcases a modern design that emphasizes clean lines and practical functionality. It offers a rare combination of calm and style amidst the bustle of city life, making it the ideal home for those who seek both elegance and comfort.
Designing Harmony Within a Trapezoidal Space
The original trapezoidal layout of the living room presented a unique challenge. Through careful planning, inT Design's designer created a balanced and inviting interior. Soft light tones and muted greys set a warm modern tone, while rounded wood-framed casings around the floor-to-ceiling windows help soften harsh angles. A custom low cabinet runs along the window wall, offering both smart storage and a serene spot to unwind by the light.

Layering Light, Space, and Texture
To enhance depth and spatial flow, area rugs define distinct zones, while recessed ceiling lighting adds ambient glow and reduces visual pressure from the ceiling. A black mirrored feature wall at the entrance contrasts beautifully with the soft palette of the living and dining areas. It serves as both a focal point and an element that expands the perception of space, revealing the designer’s subtle mastery of form and function.
A Refined Style for the Boys' Rooms
The bedrooms for both sons are designed with individuality, using deeper warm grey tones to create a calm, balanced atmosphere that complements the overall contemporary interior design style of the home. Each room is fitted with wardrobes featuring stainless steel-striped glass doors, adding a sleek, modern touch. A functional and playful element is the whiteboard wall in front of each desk—perfect for jotting down notes, revising, or sparking creativity, offering both practicality and fun.
Smart Layout Adjustments for Daily Living
To better suit the homeowners' lifestyle, the layout has been thoughtfully reconfigured.This four-bedroom unit, originally without a maid’s room, was adapted to meet the specific needs of the homeowners. One of the original bedrooms was divided into two distinct areas—one as a maid’s room and the other as a walk-in closet. This clever alteration optimizes functionality and maximizes storage, ensuring that every inch of space is used efficiently.

In the master bedroom, warm wood textures and soft neutral tones set a calm, inviting tone. The focus lies in achieving a visual and emotional balance, offering a serene escape from everyday hustle.
