Your choice in interior design style plays a critical role when you’re dealing with a small apartment, and can make the difference between your home feeling small, dark and cramped or considerably more spacious than it might appear. And given this family home in Sheung Shui’s Noble Hill comes in at just 724 square feet, the owners wanted to make the most of the property, introducing a fashionable design with a strong sense of space. Jacky Lee of inT Design Furniture Limited did not disappoint, creating a contemporary vibe that is bright and airy, despite the apartment’s diminutive size.
In order to open up the main living and dining area, the design team began work by replacing the kitchen walls with glass up top, allowing the natural light to flood throughout and brightening up the space. They decked the floors out with pale grey wooden tiles that add texture, and incorporated an understated white and pale grey colour scheme, adding a clean contemporary style. The apartment also houses simple minimalist pieces such as a comfy grey two-seater sofa, a knitted pouf and a sumptuous dark wood dining suite, which have been softened thanks to the addition of colourful accent cushions and sophisticated pendant lighting. Other than this very little furniture has been added in order to ensure there was plenty of space in which little girl can play.
