Understated European Elegance Framed by a Panoramic Sea View
This residential interior design project is located in Park Avenue, a premium development directly above Olympic Station. Spanning approximately 848 square feet, the three-bedroom unit includes a helper’s room and is home to a family of three. Boasting a sweeping, unobstructed sea view of Stonecutters Island, the apartment enjoys both serenity and spaciousness. The interior design blends light European aesthetics with contemporary simplicity, crafting an atmosphere of quiet sophistication. Soft tones and refined textures define the home decoration approach, creating a harmonious balance between function and elegance in this refined example of residential interior design.
Subtle European Style for Everyday Elegance
The couple envisioned a European-style interior design but preferred to keep it refined and understated. To avoid overly ornate details, the living area omits floral fabrics and gold trim, opting instead for clean-lined wall mouldings that softly evoke classic European elegance. Walls and cabinetry are finished in a combination of grey wall fabric and white panels, accented with brushed black metal shelves and marble-patterned sintered stone for a sophisticated and luminous atmosphere. Rounded edges are applied to light troughs, display shelves, and built-in cabinets to enhance both visual softness and safety for their energetic child. Circular forms such as the full-height curved window, dining table, and arched light features tie the entire space together, reinforcing the quiet harmony of this tasteful home decoration.

Blurring Boundaries, Enhancing Depth
To create a seamless flow between the living room and hallway, inT Design's interior designer implemented a concealed sliding door that neatly tucks into the wall when open—removing visual barriers and amplifying spatial openness. The difference in wall depth between new and original structures is cleverly used to build recessed display shelves, offering both aesthetic and practical storage for accessories and daily essentials. The TV feature wall is flush with the adjacent dining area partition, with an inset lighting niche behind the cabinet that reduces its perceived bulk and brings subtle layering. Above the sofa, a European-style moulded wall utilizes thickness variation to visually embed part of the sofa’s form, while the soft glow from the cove lighting below adds a warm and gentle ambiance—showcasing thoughtful residential space planning at its finest.
Redefining the Private Realm with Shared Functionality
Instead of following the conventional layout where each bedroom has its own wardrobe, the design embraces a more holistic approach to bedroom layout. Without the need for a helper’s room, the space was transformed into a walk-in closet shared by the entire family—streamlining daily routines and optimizing storage solutions. A cozy nook beneath the closet was thoughtfully designed for the family cat, complete with a sliding door to allow easy access—an example of pet-friendly and personalized interior design at its best.
Balancing Space and Visual Harmony
Freed from conventional layout restrictions, the bedroom layout feels more spacious and flexible. The bed is placed at the center of the wall, allowing access from all three sides for greater ease of use. A grey fabric feature wall stretches across the headboard and air conditioner, offering a clean, refined look. While the curved window already frames a panoramic sea view of Stonecutters Island, the window at the foot of the bed is transformed with marble-textured panels and a built-in cabinet, integrating storage with a wall-mounted TV. A plush armchair is thoughtfully positioned by the window, creating a serene relaxation corner—perfect for quiet moments with a view.
Flexible Space Planning to Grow with the Family
To create a more open and connected environment, the interior designer merged two original bedrooms and introduced a pair of sliding doors inspired by hotel ballrooms. This allows the study and children’s room to be flexibly divided or unified as needed. When the doors are open, the space blends seamlessly with the corridor, giving the child a generous area to play and move around. Visually, the design remains clean and minimal—thanks to the concealed door tracks and thickened walls with false ceilings that discreetly house the sliding mechanism, delivering a seamless and elegant interior layout.
A Harmonious Blend of Whimsy and Function in the Kid’s Room and Study
The homeowners were drawn to European-style children’s room interior design, so the designer selected a soft-toned animal-themed wallpaper to add cheerful character without being overly juvenile. Since the child is still young, the room is furnished with movable furniture to allow for future adaptability. A house-shaped bed offers both emotional security and a playful touch, while the built-in trundle bed allows parents to stay close at night and reduces the risk of falls for a young sleeper.
The study serves as a practical workspace for the couple’s daily computer use, requiring only a streamlined desk and shelving unit. Rather than maximizing storage, they prioritized display space for family photos and books. To support this, the designer incorporated open shelving into the storage unit, encouraging the child’s interaction with books and nurturing a love for reading through an inspiring and book-filled environment.
