Refined Hotel-Inspired Interior Aesthetic
This interior design project at Regal Court in Ho Man Tin embraces a refined hotel-inspired style, featuring rich dark wood finishes that evoke a calm and sophisticated living atmosphere. With a saleable area of approximately 860 square feet, the original three-bedroom layout has been reconfigured to enhance spatial flow. Positioned near Kadoorie Hill, the unit enjoys tranquil city views despite its urban location. The entire home is unified by clean architectural lines, luxurious materials, and gently curved ceiling light coves, creating a serene yet visually layered environment. A muted palette enhances the sense of understated elegance, while every corner reveals thoughtful craftsmanship—striking a harmonious balance between comfort, refinement, and modern residential interior design.
Cultivating a Calm and Elegant Atmosphere
For this project, the couple envisioned a home with the serene elegance of a luxury hotel. To bring this vision to life, inT Design's interior designer adopted a dark-toned palette, establishing a calm and grounded atmosphere. Air-conditioning units are cleverly concealed within light coves and louvered panels, maintaining a clean, uncluttered visual effect. Instead of a traditional false ceiling, curved lighting coves paired with layered ambient lighting enhance spatial depth and visually elevate the ceiling, creating a smooth and tranquil flow throughout. Furniture pieces echo the design language with rounded edges, reinforcing a sense of cohesion. At the golden ratio—one-third across the living area—a matte black cable pendant from Italy is installed, offering adjustable lighting that highlights both flexibility and refined interior design craftsmanship.

Subtle Luxury in the Details
To blur spatial boundaries, the designer used the same marble-patterned floor tiles throughout the living room and kitchen, visually unifying the areas and extending the perceived space. Embracing an understated luxury aesthetic, gold accents are subtly introduced via the Bell coffee table by Bonaldo, adding a refined touch without overwhelming the palette. Black steel-framed sliding glass doors in the hallway and kitchen echo the grid lines of the cabinetry, enhancing the home’s crisp, modern outline. The dining room display cabinet features fluted glass panels that offer a soft, translucent texture, adding depth without drawing too much attention. In the living area, the TV wall and the concealed guest room door are clad in dark wood veneer, which balances the mid-grey tones elsewhere and reinforces the space’s sense of composure and elevated interior styling.
Optimising Every Corner for Comfortable Living
Making smart use of the unit’s irregular layout, the designer transformed the space behind the kitchen into a well-proportioned maid’s room—fitted with a six-foot bed and a wardrobe—to offer the helper a private and comfortable resting space. On the other side, a cozy armchair is placed in a corner near the living room, thoughtfully creating a private retreat for the homeowner. Whether it’s unwinding after work or enjoying a quiet moment of reading, this multifunctional corner enhances the sense of home, comfort, and personal space.
Master Bedroom: A Fusion of Drama and Comfort
The homeowner favors a European-style bedroom interior design, so the master suite features mostly freestanding furniture for a relaxed and flexible layout. A dramatic touch is added through a bold, large-pattern ceramic wall art mural behind the bed, creating a strong visual centerpiece. Lighting is primarily downward-facing and intentionally avoids the bed area to prevent direct glare that could disrupt restful sleep. On either side of the bed, adjustable wall lamps from Italian brand Artemide offer versatile task lighting—perfect for directing toward the vanity when needed. Echoing the apartment’s refined palette, the furniture finishes are kept in muted grey tones, enhancing the bedroom’s calm and grounded ambiance.
Balancing Whimsy with Nordic Simplicity
Extending the rounded-edge design language of the living area, the daughter's room features softly curved wardrobe panels that enhance a gentle and welcoming atmosphere. Overhead cabinets serve both storage and display purposes, while playful details such as pink fluted strips and house-shaped decorative elements on the shelving and cabinet doors infuse the room with youthful charm. Shirt button–inspired drawer pulls add a whimsical finishing touch. The overall interior design blends Nordic simplicity with subtle pink accents, creating a light and layered aesthetic. Behind the bed and study desk, marble-patterned sintered stone wall panels lend a refined, high-end look while offering practical scratch-resistant durability—balancing style with everyday function.
