Located above Tin Wing Station in YOHO WEST, Tin Shui Wai, this 426-sq-ft open kitchen two-bedroom flat was designed by inT Design in a modern minimalist style. Clean lines, soft neutral tones, and thoughtful space planning shape a calming and livable atmosphere. What truly elevates the space is the subtle use of woven rattan elements, which introduce a touch of nature and texture—bringing warmth and handcrafted charm into a sleek home design. Despite its compact size, the open kitchen layout connects seamlessly with the living and dining areas, making the space feel airy and bright. Wooden textures and natural finishes further enhance the aesthetic, reflecting a refined yet grounded approach to interior design.
Clear Layout with Elegant Simplicity Tailored for a Couple’s Lifestyle
The unit features a clear and functional layout, with the living room centrally positioned and bedrooms on either side, complemented by an open kitchen that enhances the sense of spaciousness. The designer intentionally chose woodgrain finishes in similar tones for the wallpaper, furniture, and cabinetry to create visual harmony throughout the home. Tailored for a couple, the interior design embraces a simple yet elegant style, steering away from excessive ornamentation. The result is a home that balances practicality with aesthetic appeal—a calm, refined space perfect for daily living and unwinding.

Rattan Elements Reinvented for a Modern Minimalist Touch
The designer thoughtfully introduced rattan details throughout the living room, incorporating them into cabinet doors and the wall behind the sofa. Enhanced by subtle lighting, these elements move beyond their traditional vintage association to offer a fresh, stylish expression. The interplay of warm lighting and natural textures adds depth and a soothing atmosphere. Combined with woodgrain finishes and artistic wall features, the space embraces a contemporary minimalist aesthetic. This modern approach to home decoration brings out both personality and practicality, making it a well-balanced interior design solution.
Airy and Elegant Study with Subtle Design Touches
The study incorporates rattan paneling into the cabinet doors, aligning with the overall home design while softening the sense of enclosure often caused by solid doors.
